What Fruits Contain Good Eye Health Nutrients?

If only our eyes could speak.

Feeding your eyes what they need has been proven to stave off the effects of AMD. The #1 cause of “legal blindness” in the U.S.

AMD is what causes our eyes to blur when performing “straight-ahead” vision tasks such as reading, sewing, and driving.

So as we research good vegetables to eat to help strengthen and protect our eyes let’s not forget our fruits as well.

Here is a list of a few fruits if our eyes could speak they would tell us they crave:

  • Apricots
  • Cantaloupe
  • Grapefruit
  • Mangos
  • Nectarines
  • Orange
  • Papayas
  • Prunes
  • Pumpkin (Yummy)
  • Strawberries
  • Tomato’s

I didn’t want to leave out any fruits, since vegetables tend to get all the publicity when it comes to ocular nutrition and eye health.  To see some of the amounts you should eat click this primary Nutrition & Eye Health page
